Route

The
trip was not a marathon, but a pilgrimage, so the daily distance covered
was not large. There was time for both looking around and looking
within. You should enjoy each day of the route, meet other pilgrims,
pass through small villages and larger towns with their historic attractions.
The goal was about 50 km per day, spending the night in places of
interest and planning for good sleeping quarters. Guide books can
help you plan your trip and choose the best places to visit and best
shelters to rest.
Even with foresight, you cannot plan everything, so leave time for
the unexpected.
